Q: What is involved in a skin exam?
A: Plan for your doctor to be checking all of your skin, from your scalp to your toes. Based on your comfort, we will also examine areas traditionally covered by a bathing suit.

A: It is better not to have any make-up on during your skin exam.
Q: How much time should I plan to be at the office?
A: From check in to check out may take up to 1 hour.
Q: Will they remove any suspicious moles or lesions the same day?
A: Occasionally, lesions can be biopsied the same day, but usually it is better to plan the procedure for another day.
Q: What if I have other skin problems, like rashes, to ask the doctor about?
A: A skin exam will address concerns about your moles and skin cancer. Other concerns unrelated to the skin exam findings may need to be discussed at another visit.
